DISCOVER SELECT is an Employment Agency registered in Hong Kong (Licence No. 57890).
Our recruitment agents source and collect (only) real personal data:
- From individuals we identify or who present themselves to us as prospective or current job seekers, or whom we identify as persons who may be evaluated by employer clients for engagement (the ‘Candidate”);
- With consent, securely, as accurately as possible, and in a lawful, fair and non-excessive manner;
- Only for the purposes of recruitment, and filling and servicing current and prospective jobs;
- Only for release to a prospective employer (or party related to an employment initiative, such as a reference checking organization) with the knowledge and consent of the Candidate;
- Never for release for Direct Marketing, non-recruitment-related or unauthorized purposes;
- Fully in accordance with Hong Kong Data Privacy obligations and requirements;
- Knowing that the cycle of job availability and of Candidate interest in job opportunities fluctuates, and thus with a view to retaining relevant personal data indefinitely, and to updating same periodically;
- Undertaking that, in the improbable event that our data might one day be used for a purpose other than recruitment, then the Candidate shall be duly advised and their explicit consent obtained for any such new data usage;
- Undertaking that reasonable, practicable steps will be taken to secure and safeguard personal data from unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or misuse.
Any Candidate, at any time, may:
- Direct that their data be erased from our records; or
- Be given access to their personal data and allowed to make corrections if it is inaccurate.
